Pickering Manor will host its 8th Annual Sips n’ Suds fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Rafters in Newtown — and this year, the event is getting a tropical twist!
The luau-inspired evening will bring together friends, neighbors and community supporters for a festive night benefiting Pickering Manor and its residents.
A highlight of this year’s event will be the presentation of the Sidney T. Yates Award to the Pickering Manor Auxiliary, recognizing the group’s longstanding dedication and support of Pickering Manor and its residents.
For generations, Auxiliary members have generously shared their time, talents and resources to enhance resident life and strengthen the Pickering community. Their continued commitment reflects the spirit of service and community partnership celebrated by the Sidney T. Yates Award.
Guests can look forward to regional beer, wine and distillery tastings, chef-crafted selections, music, dancing, a silent auction and wine pull, all in a lively tropical-themed setting. Participating beverage vendors include Ashlynn Distillery, Vault Brewing, Buckingham Winery and Desiato Vineyards, with additional selections available throughout the evening.
Pickering Manor is grateful to its current top sponsors, Johnson, Kendall & Johnson (JKJ), The First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown and Cura Hospitality, whose support helps make the evening possible.
Tickets are $75 for General Admission, including food and beverages, and $45 for Designated Drivers. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and organizations interested in supporting Pickering Manor and its mission.
Tickets and sponsorships are available at pickeringmanor.org under the Community & Events tab, or by check payable to Pickering Manor. For additional information, contact Maureen Kuhar at 215-968-3878 ext. 1112 or mkuhar@pickeringmanor.org.
