Soroptimist International of Indian Rock, Inc. (SIIR) is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc.®, a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. When women and girls are educated, they gain opportunity, choice, and the power to make healthy decisions for themselves and their families. Soroptimist’s programs are designed to provide that vital access to education and career training.
The Live Your Dream Awards® program provides cash grants to women who are pursuing a college degree or enrolled in a technical or vocational training program. These women are the primary financial providers for their families and may use the funds in whatever way best supports their educational goals—whether for tuition, rent, childcare, transportation, or other essential needs.
The free Dream It, Be It® Career Conference helps prepare girls for future career success by offering guidance, training, and resources that help them set goals, explore career options, and make informed decisions about their futures. SIIR’s 2026 conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 from 8 am to 3 pm at Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland.
SIIR’s Scholarships for High School Seniors program supports young women entering post-secondary education by providing needs-based financial assistance and mentorship, empowering them to succeed both on campus and in their chosen careers.
Beyond education, SIIR works closely with community partners, including shelters and social service agencies, to address urgent local needs mothers may be experiencing such as domestic upheaval, emergencies, or transitions from shelters to safe housing. For families leaving unsafe situations or shelters, SIIR’s Share a Dream initiative provides essential household supplies, kitchen items, and gift cards to help them establish a safe and stable home.
